Dr. Alexander Turchin is a leading expert in real-world evidence analytics and medical informatics, with a focus on diabetes and cardiometabolic diseases. He is the Director of Quality in Diabetes at the Division of Endocrinology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. His research specializes in advanced methodologies such as natural language processing, causal inference, and predictive modeling to enhance understanding and treatment of chronic diseases. 

Dr. Turchin has served as the Medical Lead for the Know Diabetes by Heart Initiative at the American Diabetes Association and is a member of the Methods and Data Council at AcademyHealth. A Fellow of the American College of Medical Informatics, his research has resulted in over 120 publications and has been supported by PCORI, AHRQ, NIH, and private foundations. Through his work, Dr. Turchin continues to advance the integration of real-world data into clinical decision-making to improve patient outcomes.
